Friendly House v. Arizona
One of seven lawsuits filed against Arizona's broad immigration reform law was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and a large group of activist organizations. The lawsuit has many different arguments including the argument that the Arizona law would lead to racial profiling.
Arizona asked the federal district court to dismiss the lawsuit. AULDF filed an amicus brief supporting Arizona.
Although the federal district court judge dismissed some of the arguments, she refused to dismiss the entire lawsuit. This case remains before the federal district court.
